“Veleno” means poison in Italian. And the ascent to Mt. Punta Veleno is really poison for the legs. Because the 20 km long ascent is very difficult to manage and only doable by really good and fit bikers.
At the top of Mt. Punta Veleno you will be reward with the prospect of a demanding and flowing downhill track, which is one of the most thrilling at Lake Garda. So the effort pays off!

The demanding bike tour begins in Assenza close to Brenzone. Take the street to Castello, where the “poison”-stage begins: countless hairpin bends are to manage to arrive at Prada Alta, all in all there is a difference in altitude of 1100 m to do. Arrived at Prada Alta (Punta San Veleno) you should absolutely take a break to get new power for the beautiful downhill part.
For the way back, take the same street for 1 km back to Riser. There at the left hand begins path 34. Just at the beginning you will see how spectacular the single trail is. The trail brings you to Marniga and finally back to Assenza.
