Around Arco and at the feet of Monte Baldo there are most of the climbing gardens at Lake Garda. Not everyone is appropriate to kids, least of all when they are beginners. When you are climbing with children you have to look after good securities and many place for doing picnics or games.


Such a climbing garden is for instance the one in Nago close to Arco. Big trees make shadow and there are many routes which are manageable also by children. It is also very important, that children have a perfectly fitting helmet on their head, because kids come often upon the rock with the head, believe in us.


Also absolutely necessary is a good fitting climbing harness. Unfortunately we see often kids with too big harnesses. They are often the discarded ones from the parents. When a fall happens, the kids can slip easily from the harness, the effect can be fatal. 


So: please pay attention to equipment which is suitable for children, choose routes which aren’t much long and do never constrain your little ones to climb, if they don’t want. Often kids are afraid of the height and also of the failure. It’s better to take it a little bit easier, so everyone will enjoy the climbing gardens at Lake Garda.
