Comfortable apartment located in the center of Riva del Garda, just steps from the Christmas markets. A truly relaxing New Year's Eve in a magical setting. I'd like to echo all the positive reviews I read before leaving, regarding the property, its location, its cleanliness, and above all, the owner's professionalism and courtesy, which are hallmarks recognized by all reviewers.

This summer, for the third consecutive year, we stayed at one of the splendid Leon d'Oro Apartments, and it was once again a wonderful experience. The apartments were functional, equipped with every comfort, spotlessly clean, towels changed every three days, meticulous attention to detail, a wide range of everyday essentials, especially for the kitchen, and a convenient location in the historic center. All this was enhanced by the helpfulness and kindness of the commendable Mrs. Caterina, who accompanied us throughout our 10-day vacation with discretion yet undivided attention. As on previous occasions, we left a part of our hearts in the wonderful setting of Riva, hoping to return again soon.

Brought my family here for a one week stay in Riva Del Garda. This was the perfect location, right in the heart of town. Easy to walk everywhere and couldn’t have been happier with our choice :-) Catarina is a gem! She is so lovely and made us feel very welcome. Even helped us pay a parking ticket! Our friends from Denmark, who have been coming to Riva Del Gada every summer for the past 20 years were very impressed with our accommodations when we hosted them one evening for drinks before going out for dinner… can’t say enough great things about this place. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Catarina for an amazing experience

Beautiful apartment right in the heart of the bustling old town.
We spent our family vacation there and were thrilled with the central location and our lovely host, Caterina, who fulfilled our every wish.
The apartment was exceptionally clean, the towels were changed twice during our 10-day stay, and the apartment had everything you could possibly need for an extended stay in Riva.
We couldn't praise it enough and would love to return, especially considering the fantastic value for money.

After staying in Apartment 105 last summer, we stayed in Apartment 101 this time. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished and offers everything you need in a vacation rental. The apartment is spacious, clean, and, with the sofa bed, offers plenty of room for up to four people.
Mrs. Salvaneschi is a very attentive and always approachable host. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

Hello. We visited Riva del Garda at the end of May 2024. The city is no different from any other in Italy; it's only when we're in the old town of Riva that we discover the beauty of this place. We stayed in a beautiful old tenement house, renovated inside to meet the 21st century standards, while preserving its character, such as the elevator, wide staircase, and other amenities. But the host, Caterina Salvaneschi, deserves special mention. Without her, this place would be just another overnight stay on the road. The rooms are atmospheric, full of the history of this place, and of course, clean and beautiful. Caterina is available to help from the moment you book your accommodation until the sad moment of saying goodbye, because you don't want to return. The surrounding area is full of attractions, both large and small, atmospheric places, pubs, and more. I recommend this place, and I send my best regards to Caterina.

We stayed here for the third time at the end of May/beginning of June for five days, in the spotlessly clean apartment 106 with a balcony. We felt extremely comfortable again and are delighted with the apartment's location every time we stay – a two-minute walk from the lake. We also find the kindness of the landlady, Caterina, unsurpassed. We also had an excellent meal at the "Leon d'Oro" restaurant, which is located in the building. Both the apartment and the restaurant deserve the highest recommendation.

We had a fantastic time in Apartment 101! We were there with our baby. Caterina was very helpful and always friendly. The apartment was clean and exactly as in the pictures. We felt very comfortable! The location is great – you're right down by the lake (a 1-minute walk), and various shops and restaurants are just around the corner. And there's a great ice cream parlor! We'd love to come back and thank you, Caterina :) By the way, there's also an elevator to the apartments, so strollers are no problem either!

Ours was a special experience...we wanted to give our niece a vacation in Riva del Garda, and as we all know, finding the perfect place is even more of a worry.
I must say we were incredibly lucky, and I'm convinced we couldn't have made a better choice!!!
From the very first conversations, Mrs. Caterina proved to be very helpful and extremely professional (an increasingly rare thing in this industry). She immediately gave us the confidence that everything would be fine!
The apartment was truly beautiful, clean, and meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail... in an ideal location, right in the center (and that, of course, has its charm).
We can't thank Mrs. Caterina enough for how kind she was and how she took care of every little detail to make this "first vacation" for two twenty-year-olds truly UNFORGETTABLE!!!

First, we'd like to praise Caterina, the owner.
She is a very friendly, helpful, and warm person.
We felt at home right from the moment we were greeted.
She explained everything very well and took her time with us.
Whether it was explaining the room, explaining how to get into the underground car park and the best way to park, hiking tips, etc.
She thinks of everything and welcomes guests from the very first second.
:) Literally – right at the Hafentor entrance.
We stayed in apartment 104. It was
tidy, clean, Caterina thought of everything... what a guest might need - you don't lack anything.
I also immediately noticed the attention to detail.
For example, I've never seen a rolled-up blanket with a red silk bow on vacation before ;)... or a wrapped-up iron cord tied tightly with a bow.
Simply wonderful!
There's also an elevator or stairs to the apartment.
Caterina always provides fresh towels/bath towels.
If you want, you can also bring your own bikes. We'll do that next time. You can park them in the building. There's plenty of space.
The Leon d'Oro restaurant, which is located in the same building downstairs, is also great!
We ate there almost every day, alternating with Bella Napoli.
The service is super friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone is so warm, humorous, and respectful.
We highly recommend spending your vacation in the apartments and at the Leon d'Oro restaurant!!!

What can I say? Everything was perfect: the house, the location, the impeccable cleanliness...we had a wonderful time.
But a special mention goes to our host, the delightful Mrs. Caterina, who deserves credit for welcoming us with extreme courtesy and professionalism.
From the moment we arrived, when she came to help us with our luggage, to even before, during the booking process, with all the information and attention she provided.
The property is truly beautiful and well-organized, and Caterina knows how to pamper her guests with little touches and always helpful advice.
Last but not least, we appreciated finding basic necessities available upon our arrival, a real plus, and the change of towels provided every two days.
Overall, we were more than satisfied. We felt at home.

After years of traveling to all kinds of accommodations, from hotels to B&Bs to private apartments and more, I've rarely found a place with so many strong points. The location is excellent, right in the center of this delightful town, making the apartment immersed in a picturesque setting and full of amenities, yet just minutes from the beach. The interiors are undoubtedly refined and meet every guest's needs. The cleanliness is excellent. Finally, something I personally find essential for a pleasant stay, the person who took care of us from start to finish, from check-in to towel change, Caterina, was always professional and very accommodating to our every need. The restaurant is also delicious. We definitely plan to return to this property, especially because Riva del Garda is magnificent.

I stayed in a beautiful apartment, with an elevator on the third floor. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. In July, there was no air conditioning, but I didn't feel the need. Located in the historic center, you can stroll downstairs in the evenings, enjoying all the amenities within 10 minutes: bars, ice cream parlors, restaurants, shops, and the pier. A paid parking lot is 5 minutes away (the town lacks free parking). You can store your mountain bikes and set off from here on the excursions available on the Trentino website. Amazing!!!!

I'll start by saying I gave it 3 stars because my girlfriend said her dish wasn't bad.
It's a lovely, very characteristic restaurant, so I expected a good menu of traditional dishes... but no! On the menu: carbonara, lasagna, and even spaghetti with meat sauce or tomato sauce, even if disguised as "Bolognese" and "Napoli."
I had tagliolini with truffle... well, it smelled good, but that's all; the truffle flavor faded in the mouth, and even the quality of the tagliolini was a bit lacking. For my second course, I chose grilled cheese with polenta and mushrooms... surprise, the dish wasn't available; since there wasn't anything else on the menu that appealed to me, I decided to just order the first course.
The service was a positive note: the girls were very kind and courteous, and the service was quick. Bravo!
To sum up: lovely restaurant, kind and fast service, disappointing menu and dishes too. Sorry. This is my second time in Riva, and if there's a third, I definitely won't be returning to the Leon d'Oro.
The prices are decidedly exorbitant, even considering the quality/price ratio: a first course, a second course, a dessert, a bottle of water, and a half-liter of wine, plus a coffee and an after-dinner drink: €59.60 seems decidedly excessive, especially considering the quality. Not recommended.

My husband and I visited Leon D'oro for the very first time on Monday and received a very friendly welcome. The food (pork fillet in a herb coating with Gorgonzola and beer sauce) was sensational! The meat was incredibly juicy and tender, and the Gorgonzola sauce was incredibly aromatic and creamy. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

We booked this beautiful apartment right in the historic center of Riva on recommendation! With a small baby, it was simply ideal!
Caterina is incredibly nice, she helps with any problem imaginable and impresses with her accommodating, warm, yet funny manner! Our little son immediately fell in love with her, and I think the affection was mutual :-).
The attached restaurant is also great, and no matter what you order, you get the highest quality, simply fantastic!
We will definitely be back!!

This is our 2nd visit to this restaurant within our 3 day stay in Riva del Garda. Why? Because it is amazing from the moment you walk by it to the moment you leave.
It's Saturday in October, it's busy, and we walk in to be greeted by the lovely lady of Leon d'Orco (who we think is the owner) where we are welcomed with a sincere and warm handshake. Whilst we wait for our table an unexpected complimentary glass of proscecco also greets our hands to make us feel extra welcome.
We decided to order the whole baked brill which was absolutely incredible. It was baked over potatoes and tomatoes which tasted delicious as accompaniments. The meal was lovingly, skilfully and carefully served to us at the table and we were impressed by the way the fish was prepared and served to us at the table. It tasted utterly divine.
Above all the hospitality was outstanding. I have never been so impressed by the service anywhere else. Every member of staff greeted us with a smile and there was a noticeable amicable atmosphere between staff and customers. Nicoletta in particular was an absolute star. What an outstanding waitress. She is charming and sincere and genuinely wants to make sure you have the most enjoyable experience possible.
Thank you Nicoletta for being such an amazing person and that is another why we came back because you made laugh and feel at home. You should get a pay rise!

nice place around the centre, we had four diff dishes, such as risotto (at the recommendation) was good, the noodle/spaghetti: we found to be bit too salty to our taste. Overall, good food and service.

I live in Riva del Garda since 10 year and I have gone to almost all the restaurants in the area. I must say this Leon d'oro is my favourite choice when I want to bring someone special out for dinner. The cousine is amazing, you can find everything from a topical italian pizza to delicious and fresh seafood plates. My favourite dish there is the appetizer made with raw seafood and shellfish.

A very friendly welcome; we were traveling with our baby, and a high chair was immediately provided for us.
A pack of breadsticks was immediately opened for us at the table... Bread was also already ready. Since all the guests had oil on the table, we asked for it for dipping. (The menu was already gone.) The bill was then added to €2 for the specified cover charge. We were quite surprised by that.
The pizza tasted great. Very Italian :-)

Visited this place on May 2015. It's very overcrowded, however the atmosphere is nice and the service is great. They also give while you wait for you order a glass of local sparkling wine on the house. The food is fine and prices are reasonable.

We had a very good meal there at reasonable prices. The menu selection was large compared to other restaurants in Riva. Nevertheless, everything tasted delicious, as if it were homemade. The older lady, apparently the manager, was just a bit confused with her billing slips; it would be better to double-check the numbers. Otherwise, great service, attentive staff, fantastic!

A good restaurant in the town center, with a few caveats: the menu offers a limited selection of fresh lake fish. The staff is welcoming and speaks a variety of languages, as most of the customers are foreign guests who return because they've had a great time.
If you want to eat out (on the main street), reservations are a must.
The food is good; I had a plate of bigoli with lake sardines (nicely salted) paired with aromatic herbs and very sweet cherry tomatoes. The portion was also good.
What I didn't like at all was the lemon sorbet (it was alcoholic and not at all good).
In total, a first course (€12) + sorbet (€5!) + 1/2 still water and cover charge = €21. If you really want to eat in the center, I recommend it.

On the first evening, we were greeted with a handshake by a nice older lady and seated (around 6:30 p.m.) – the food was also very good, and the price/performance ratio was OK. We then reserved a table for two days later at 7:30 p.m. (apparently the start of rush hour). The reservation itself was rather odd, as it was only acknowledged that we wanted a reservation, but no name was required... When we showed up on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m., there were already several people standing in the entrance area, some who had already reserved, others apparently not. Then the older lady apparently decided based on her own nose who would get a table and who wouldn't. Then an older British couple who hadn't reserved even showed up – since they seemed to fit the clientele better (over 50), they got a table, but we (over 30) didn't, despite us pointing out that we had a reservation. In short: we waited 20 minutes for nothing despite having a reservation, and then were passed over. Never again—they obviously don't need it. Dr. Christian H.

The food is absolutely excellent, and this is the third time I've eaten there in the last 10 years.
I'm from Riva, and finding a good place to eat in the historic center is difficult.
