I'll start by saying I stayed in a standard room, but I think the hotel falls into the 3-star category and is more suitable for foreigners than Italians.
The rooms need updating, the sheets are stringy, the bed frames are loose (perhaps a few joints need tightening only in mine), the bathroom is too narrow (the door can't even open because it hits the sink, and the bidet is impossible to use, wedged in a corner between the toilet and the sink). The pool is lukewarm, the hot tub cold, the relaxation area very cold, as is the lobby (the reception staff wore jackets over their uniforms). To use the pool, you have to go down to the lobby in a bathrobe and slippers, which, given the cold and the other guests, isn't ideal. The bathrobes are "standard," meaning they're S/M in size, which doesn't fit everyone, but the towels are large enough and make up for it. I appreciated the liter bottle of water offered on the first day, but then I discovered that no drinks were included in the price at dinner (not even water). Breakfast is an international buffet, hot and cold, sweet and savory, with juices and coffee, always the same variety but good quality. Dinner is a cold buffet, followed by a choice of first course, second course, and dessert. Be careful when selecting food: some dishes are truly delicious, worthy of a restaurant, while others are made with leftovers from previous meals, which makes sense, but should be made less obvious (e.g., a Caprese salad with pizza cheese passed off as mozzarella isn't the best in Italy, but I assumed it was leftovers from the Mozzarella in Carrozza).
The location isn't bad; Torbole and Riva del Garda can be reached by car in 10-15 minutes (depending on traffic). The bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the hotel. On one side, the hotel is right under the mountainside, while on the other, it overlooks neighboring apartment buildings, so there's no panoramic view.
Some of the staff are very kind and sociable, while others are not suited to hospitality work, whether in the dining room or reception areas.

Very basic rooms, tiny balcony, only one pillow on the bed, barely any tea or coffee provisions - we kept having to ask for more. Nice quiet location if you have a car. Nice pool but a bit tired. Very strange dinner set-up - we were ushered to a separate room to the main restaurant where there was no atmosphere and the service was very slow. Quite disappointing considering the price.

We stayed here for 4 nights recently. 3 stars I class as average. The good.. plenty of options on the breakfast and self-service dinner buffet. The rooms were clean albeit basic. The staff on the whole were friendly and accommodating. The areas for improvement, they made us sit in different dining areas (we heard other guests refer to it as the naughty corner) I don't understand why summer guests are put in a very basic d ining space, it gives of vibes of a class divine. The food from the menus for dinner was underwhelming and pretty bland which isn't what I'd expect in a 4star hotel in Italy... Added to the extremely long wait between courses, one night over 2hrs. The room whilst cleaned, felt a bit dated and our coffee/tea/milks were not replenished so after day one we ran out and had to go down to get more. We enjoyed our stay, but on a question on whether we'd go back we'd say no.

Our stay at the Hotel Continental was spectacular. Breakfast and dinner were spectacular, with a wide variety of choices and excellent food quality! Chef Ali is truly amazing, congratulations! The hotel is wonderful, with attention to detail and incredibly kind staff, from the receptionists to the waiters. I especially thank Amer for her kindness, professionalism, and availability throughout our stay. You are all fantastic! I will definitely be back and will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone!

The hotel isn't the newest, as far as the rooms go, but it's clean and tidy, with beds made daily. Breakfast is plentiful, with plenty to choose from, and the service is top-notch: from the waiters, housekeeping staff, cook, maitre d', and reception. The bartender is, in my opinion, a world champion in making drinks; I've never had better ones in my life, and they're completely professional. The musical performances are top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel. Best regards to the entire staff; the boss should consider giving such a professional staff a raise.

Fab hotel, staff were lovely, food was great, they run a free shuttle bus to and from torbole where you can easily catch a ferry to other towns on the lake. Pools were both great and never that busy, there was plenty of entertainment honestly only downside was the kids, we came in school holidays which was a huge mistake, there were a lot of lovely babies but also a lot of very unsupervised kids doing things like coughing on the buffet, stealing food, touching things on other peoples tables without the staff or parents seeming to care. I’d say if you’re coming here without kids and want to avoid having your food coughed on and personal items knocked off tables I’d come outside of school holidays which times.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be very critical, but since I'm used to staying at hotels both in Italy and abroad, I think I know what I'm writing.
Very nice hotel, in a good location (even though there's nothing in the village); the reception staff...nothing special...normal...in fact, when we checked out, I wasn't even asked how we had been.
Normal room with super comfortable beds, but the bathroom was a bit dated, though functional. It's a shame that the curtains weren't exactly spotless, and there was a stain on the ceiling, probably caused by some rude guest who killed an insect. That doesn't mean it doesn't need cleaning!
I found the carpet in the hallway old and stained.
Unfortunately, the indoor pool is NOT heated. The outdoor pool is very nice, clean, and tidy, but the usual guests keep the loungers and leave their towels on them...I mentioned this to the bar staff, who I don't think did much.
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. I didn't appreciate the table settings...not worthy of a four-star hotel...the paper napkins are nowhere to be seen!!
The downsides were the long waits (even for tables with children)... and the wait for drinks even though we'd been at the table for a while.
I know I'm very critical, but for a four-star restaurant, some things are unacceptable.
All in all, we ate well, but nothing exceptional.
A pleasant stay, but if I had to give an overall rating... I'd say 7.

I booked a half-board holiday and had a great time. The hotel staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the prices are fair for the area, and the food is excellent. Plus, every Sunday they offer a pre-dinner aperitif (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) on the terrace.
A small note about the bathroom, which seemed a bit dated, and the pools aren't very clean, which is a shame.
The hotel is in an excellent strategic location, recommended if you want to reach multiple destinations.

Top hotel in the Nago area, 10 minutes from the lake. Quality restaurant and services. Free parking a 1-minute walk from the hotel. The entrance area is beautiful and welcoming, and there's even a nice pool table. Unfortunately, it's a bit far from the lake, and the road to and from the hotel is often very busy. The room is a bit small, especially the closet, a problem for those staying longer than a week and with lots of clothes.

The five stars offered here to rate the service are, in my opinion, too few.
I would give it 10 out of 10 stars.
Why?
The entire staff was always friendly, attentive, and courteous (whether at reception, room service, the kitchen, the restaurant, or the shuttle bus driver). Everyone always tried to fulfill our every wish.
I would especially like to highlight the shuttle bus driver and the two employees at the outdoor pool bar. In my opinion, these three employees are key to the success of such a company and hotel.
Thank you all for making this a wonderful, not to say the most wonderful, vacation we've ever had. The entire staff was also extremely child-friendly, which I would also like to emphasize.

All drinks were always prepared with great care and taste, and the price/performance ratio was excellent!
All the dishes we enjoyed were always attractively presented and delicious.

Hotel Continental – Absolute Gem!
Just wow. This hotel honestly blew us away from start to finish. The rooms are modern, spotless, and super comfy — we had everything we needed and more. The pool area is gorgeous, both indoor and outdoor, with plenty of beds and space to chill (and sunbathe, of course ).
Let me shout out a few stars: Linda at breakfast is a total angel — so kind, warm, and always smiling. Lorenzo, our waiter in the evenings, was so professional and genuinely lovely. You feel really taken care of here.
Then there’s Fabrizio, Samuel and Osama at the pool bar — these two made our days! Amazing gin spritzes, always up for a laugh, and speak perfect English. The vibe around the pool was chilled but fun, and they made it even better.
Now let’s talk food… 10/10 every single day. Honestly some of the best hotel food I’ve had — beautifully cooked salmon, seabass, fresh pasta, loads of choice, and way too much to eat (not complaining ). Breakfast is dreamy too — homemade Italian coffee, omelette station, pastries, fruit, hot options — you’ll never go hungry here!
Yes, the hotel is about 2km uphill from the lake, but we actually loved that. The free shuttle bus was great when we didn’t feel like walking, and the hikes and views were so worth it. Felt like a little adventure every day.

Solid breakfast! If you arrive after 9:00 AM, items are often empty, and refilling them often takes a long time!
Room:
The room was okay. The bed was very hard, and the pillows were as high as Monte Baldo! Far too little storage space in our room, so we basically lived out of our suitcases.
Service:
We found the restaurant staff to be unfriendly at times. This was also reflected on the evening we had dinner at the hotel, as guests without half-board. From the very first moment, we felt out of place and unwelcome. Everyone made us feel like we were responsible for the extra work! To the hotel: If that's the case, stop advertising and offering it!
Parking:
The hotel advertises a private parking lot… This is actually a small gravel lot behind the hotel with very limited space for vehicles, and there are also some old trailers parked there… Parking is otherwise €10 per night in the underground garage or outside on the street. So, if you don't book underground parking, you can often find yourself searching for a parking space after a day trip.
I wouldn't advertise private parking like that!
Cocktail Bar:
Simply fantastic! A huge menu and every cocktail is made with 100% love!! Clearly the hotel's flagship!

We stayed at this hotel for several nights and had a mixed experience.
The positive first: The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was lovely and well-kept, perfect for relaxing. The housekeeping staff deserves a big compliment, they were consistently friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Their warmth really stood out.
That said, we were quite disappointed by the attitude of most other staff members. Aside from a few exceptions, many came across as indifferent or even cold. On multiple occasions, we were completely ignored, even a simple “good morning” seemed too much to ask. This was especially surprising to us, as we’ve been charmed by Italian hospitality in previous years. Sadly, that signature warmth was largely missing here. As the saying goes: if being friendly and smiling once in a while isn’t in your system, hospitality might not be the right job for you.
The breakfast was mediocre at best, nothing particularly fresh or inviting. The coffee doesn't even deserve 1 star.
In total, the facilities were nice, especially the pool and the cleanliness of the rooms, but the overall experience would have been much better with the kind of welcoming atmosphere we've come to love in Italy.

First off: we'll be back! But at a different/cooler time of year! June is already too hot for us.
We have absolutely nothing to complain about, or at least nothing serious: the staff's service was consistently friendly, quick, and helpful. Of course, this occasionally depended on the day.
Our room (standard double room) was supposedly 17 square meters. We don't believe it! Unless, of course, the rather large balcony was included in that measurement!
The Wi-Fi doesn't deserve the name: unstable, not always available, and sometimes completely unreachable.
The TV channels are exclusively Italian? We stopped channel surfing after 200 Italian channels. If there are any German channels, a channel guide would be very helpful.
Good service: shuttle bus to Torbole.
Room service was diligent and efficient. A nice touch: the underground parking garage; it kept the car from getting too hot.
Okay: Nago is located outside of Torbole on a hill, but this makes it quieter and cooler than down below.
Reception: friendly and always has a solution!

We had the pleasure of staying here for a week last week. Where do I even begin?
Parking:
The hotel is located on a side street. There are a few public parking spaces in front, but they fill up very quickly. The hotel also has its own parking spaces behind the building. However, you should drive up the street with caution, as it's quite narrow in one or two places, especially for drivers who aren't very familiar with Italy. Alternatively, there's the option of parking in the underground garage for €10 per night.
Hotel:
The hotel is located in Nago, and within walking distance, you'll find a few bars, a small shop, bike rentals, and some sights to explore. There's also an outdoor pool with a sunbathing area, which can get quite crowded depending on the time of day. A small bar right by the pool offers snacks and drinks. All payments are made using your room key card. The final bill is presented at the end of your stay. There's also an indoor pool and a sauna. Your room also includes bath towels, a bathrobe, and slippers. The room was good. The bathrooms varied considerably. We had a very new bathroom with a walk-in shower and the first square toilet I've ever seen. It looks great, but your wife will be thrilled—you only stay on it as long as you absolutely have to. Twice a week there's live music in the bar. It was pleasant, and for entertainment, there's a pool table and a foosball table in the lobby, which we both enjoyed using.
Food:
Breakfast was good, and the selection was very nice, but there were frequent waits because many items ran out and were only refilled after people complained. In the morning, you receive your menu for dinner, where you can choose your own four-course meal. However, there are a few quirks. The translation of the menu is sometimes a bit adventurous, and occasionally you're not sure what you're actually ordering, and it feels like some items are repeated quite often. But that's just a matter of personal taste. The general atmosphere in the dining room was mixed. A 20-minute wait to order drinks was unfortunately the norm, even though the waiters often rushed past and seemed a bit disorganized. When I asked for something, I was sometimes ignored or turned away and cursed in Italian. (Note to self: Learn Italian swear words so I understand them better.) What I did understand was enough for me. We ended up eating out the last two evenings. Of course, there were some nice people there who were genuinely trying their best. But two or three are enough to paint a complete picture.
Staff and Service:
Apart from a few exceptions with the food, everyone was very friendly, especially the receptionists and the housekeepers, who went out of their way to make your stay as easy and pleasant as possible.
I hope I've been able to convey my impressions reasonably well.

A nice hotel with some shortcomings. First, the negatives:
We had no Wi-Fi in our room at all, and it was only adequate near reception.
The breakfast was barely adequate.
The bathroom was unacceptable for the price and desperately needs renovation.
On the positive side, the hotel was clean and located away from the hustle and bustle. The garden with the pool was very nice. The hotel room, the friendliness of the staff, and the drinks at the bar were good.

Good morning, given that I have been a customer of the Tonelli Hotel for at least 25 years, I have nevertheless returned to the Continental in Nago and I think it is appropriate to say that the cuisine is excellent and varied, and compliments to Meter Lorenzo, always professional. Regarding the room, even though I had specified in the reservation a large bathroom with a window, it was the opposite, it was a big problem finding a parking space if you go out in the evening, and an unpleasant surprise also on the bill: the price of the wine does not correspond to the menu and water 4.50 euros instead of 0.75, be careful.

We always enjoy staying at the Hotel Continental in Nago.
The food is consistently excellent and plentiful.
There's a large self-service salad bar, followed by a four-course meal served at the table.
All the staff are incredibly friendly and always attentive.
You can tell they all love their jobs; everyone is always in good spirits.
We feel like we're part of the family here.
The rooms are clean, the beach is cozy, and both the indoor and outdoor pools are heated.
The hotel is located a bit higher up the mountain, but it's a lovely half-hour walk down to the lake.
The area is perfect for hiking, climbing, sunbathing, cycling, and more. If you keep your eyes peeled, you can often see climbers on the rock faces.
The most famous cycling race that takes place in and around Nago-Torbole is the TOUR Transalp. The TOUR Transalp is a multi-day stage race that runs through the Alps and Dolomites. The route finishes in Arco, just 7 km from Nago.
There's something for everyone here.
There are also beautiful hiking trails around the hotel.
You can walk from Mago to Riva along the water. A wonderful stroll.

I'm staying at the Hotel Continental in Nargo on a half-board basis, and the experience is truly excellent. The rooms are impeccably clean, everything is organized, and attention to detail is top-notch. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and feature a comfortable balcony, perfect for relaxing. The restaurant service is excellent: a wide variety of dishes, top-quality ingredients, and, most importantly, the waiters are extremely kind and attentive, offering impeccable service. The welcome at reception is also warm: the staff and the manager are always available, friendly, and ready to assist with any needs. A truly pleasant stay in every way!

I'm sorry I can't give it more than 5 stars. The hotel offers exceptional value for money, especially for the area. The rooms are clean, the aperitifs are very welcome, and the dinner is superb. Highly recommended for bikers. The hotel offers covered motorcycle parking, a small place to wash your bike with a spray gun and tools for small repairs, and a truly fantastic bar with a wide selection of gins and spirits. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always smiling. What can I say? It's the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

In June of this year, we spent seven days on beautiful Lake Garda. Our accommodation at the Hotel Continental in Nago Torbole was simply fantastic. The room and bathroom were a bit small, but always clean and well-equipped. The staff were always friendly and approachable. And the food was a feast for the palate. (We've had different experiences, especially in Italy.) The buffet was always well-stocked with delicious delicacies.
All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

A truly beautiful hotel with top-notch service, the likes of which are rarely found anywhere else in Italy. Our bus tour group from Schubert Reisen stayed here and we felt very comfortable. The cuisine is absolutely superb, the kind you only find in higher-end hotels. The manager and his team are always coming up with something special to delight their guests, whether it's a musical evening, a welcome buffet, or much more. Everything is wonderfully organized, and you can tell they've put their heart and soul into it. We highly recommend staying here. Our group felt very much at home. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Great hotel with fantastic people. So friendly and helpful. Our room was larger than expected with a decent sized balcony. We made use of the sauna and internal swimming pool. Only downside is the location, a steep hill down to Torbole but we managed the climb back up easier by the end of our stay. Food in the restaurant was really good with a variety offered every day. Bar prices are good, especially during Happy Hour.

We recently enjoyed an 8-day stay at this hotel, and our overall experience was very positive.
The hotel offers excellent service and numerous amenities, including a laundry room, indoor heated pool, sauna, bicycles for guest use, billiards, a foosball table, and more. Free parking is available nearby, which is convenient for guests.
Our rooms were kept very clean, and the reception staff was outstanding, efficiently handling all our requests. The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring gluten-free options. However, the menu remained the same throughout our stay.
While our experience was largely positive, we did encounter a few issues:
We had initially booked two triple rooms and requested connecting doors, which the hotel confirmed by phone after our reservation. Upon arrival, we were informed that such rooms were unavailable, and the triple rooms were far apart. We ultimately opted for smaller accommodations to stay close together, with three of us sharing a double room with an extra bed, which was uncomfortable.
One evening, there was a party at the outdoor pool with very loud music until 11:00 PM, which was disruptive for guests, especially those with children.
The hotel's location is about an hour's drive from central Garda attractions (such as Gardaland and Garda towns), which some guests may find inconvenient.
Despite these minor setbacks, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to others seeking a comfortable vacation with good amenities and service.

We stayed with them for 10 days each. We booked three rooms. Everyone enjoyed their stay very much. The two junior suites were lovely, each with a walk-in glass shower. The third single room met our expectations and was well worth the price. The half-board meals were excellent and varied. In the evenings, there was live music and delicious drinks in the outdoor area. We booked a garage parking space, which also included a lockable area for our e-bikes. The pool area in the green space behind the hotel was fantastic after our excursions. The pool attendant treated us to delicious iced coffees. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again.

We arrived by tour bus, and our first impression was very positive; everything was tastefully decorated. The room was clean and tidy, although a chair would have been nice, as we always had to sit on the bed.
The pasta dishes were typically Italian . The potato wedges served with the main course were so hard and chewy that they were almost impossible to cut with a knife. Aside from that, everything else tasted great. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Location is quite far out and you have to rely on the shuttle or cycle or scooter hire . Rooms were adequate, bedside lamp didn't work .they gave you dressing gowns and slippers which was nice .gym and sauna and indoor pool were good .food was really amazing some of the best we have had .The only main negative was a lot of German and Dutch , no nearby shops and don't make the mistake of walking back up the hill from torbole .

Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional friendliness of all the staff. Every wish is fulfilled. A great breakfast, and special requests are always happily accommodated, always with genuine friendliness. The gentlemen at the pool and hotel bar do a fantastic job.
The drinks and food are all very good and of high quality. The beds are very comfortable, the indoor and outdoor pools are very clean, and everything is well-maintained. A very small negative point is that the bathrooms could use a renovation, but the cleanliness is excellent.
We will definitely be back.

We received a free room upgrade to the penthouse, a wonderful room with an exceptional view. The hotel's amenities are excellent, from the beautiful pool surrounded by greenery to the food, dinner, and breakfast, featuring excellent ingredients and a wide selection.
There are three indoor bar areas—one themed, one by the pool, and one outside—all very well-maintained.

A hotel with renovated rooms in a quiet area. The food is excellent, and the rooms are very clean. Limited parking is available behind the hotel, but sufficient during our stay. A plus for this hotel: excellent food and good service.
Downside: Our room was very small, with no space to open your suitcase. There was no wardrobe, just a very small hanging unit. The shower was also very small. There were sufficient personal bottles of shower gel and shampoo, and body lotion was also provided, but no conditioner. There were more spacious rooms in this hotel in the same price range, so you have to be a bit lucky. A refrigerator and safe are available. Air conditioning is in the room.
Plus: A bottle of water was provided in the room upon arrival.

A very nice hotel, the rooms were very clean, and the hotel staff was always friendly, helpful, and professional. The outdoor pool area isn't directly connected to the hotel, but that's absolutely no problem. Everything there is beautifully laid out, clean, and from 12 p.m. onwards, you can even get your first cocktails (if you want them) :-) We were always alone in the indoor pool. The cocktail bar and the evening program are also really great and varied!
As with most hotels, there isn't really a vegan selection, but we were able to eat a few things at the breakfast buffet.
If you're not traveling by car, the hotel in Nago-Torbole is a bit out of the way, but there's a bus every hour and a shuttle three times a day to the nearest larger town, Torbole. The area is still highly recommended; everything is beautiful, green, and perfect for hiking.

The rooms were lovely and well-kept, with comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing. A few kilometers from the lake, it's excellent for those seeking tranquility. There's a spa available to guests, and a lovely bar area for enjoying drinks or aperitifs.

A very nice hotel with very nice, helpful, and courteous staff.
The room was very tidy and clean, the bathroom was a bit small.
However, there was plenty of space and storage for suitcases.
The balcony had a beautiful view of the mountains.
The restaurant "La Mar" was excellent. The service staff was very friendly and took time for their guests. The food was well-chosen and very tasty.
Every evening, there was a choice of four dishes for starters, main courses, and dessert, along with a large selection of wines and a salad buffet.
Breakfast was also excellent, with a large selection of different rolls, cakes, and pastries, as well as sausages and other side dishes.
Coffee and cake were also offered in the afternoon, and again, there was a good selection of different dishes.
The cake and salad offerings changed every day, so you didn't get the same dishes every day.
The hotel has a lovely terrace for sitting outside with coffee and tea and enjoying the weather, and generally made a very clean and friendly impression.
The parking situation is a bit of a challenge; there's an underground garage and a parking lot located a bit behind the hotel. There are also public parking spaces in front of the hotel, which are easy to use if they're available.
The location is also nice and central. Lake Garda isn't far, and you'll enjoy beautiful views of the lake from above along the way.
Towns like Limone or Malcesine aren't far from here either, and if you have a car, the journey is a quick one.
I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely come back :-)

I loved this hotel. It is bright and airy and the staff are welcoming, friendly and always with a smile on their face. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and balcony. There was a complimentary bottle of water, beach bag and a card for a welcome drink of your choice. There was lovely comfy bathroom slippers and bathrobes too. There was complimentary tea between 4-5 every day. With a good choice of cakes and pastries. The evening meal was varied with a salad help yourself to start with. Evening entertainment was 3 times a week. Live music. On the other days in the outside bar music was played. The gardens by the pool are very pretty lots of trees and shady areas if you need to get out of the sun. Lots of lovely scenery too. Mountains lakes etc. Everywhere is spotless. Would love to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Continental. The location in Nago is perfect, overlooking the town and beautiful Lake Garda. The staff were fantastic, helpful, polite and professional. The food was exceptional, superb quality and brilliantly cooked and presented. The afternoon tea was a nice addition, with a great range of fruit and cakes. The pool area was well presented, and although a little chilly, the water was great to swim in. If you visit this hotel, be sure to ask for the Trentino guest pass, as this gives you free bus travel throughout the region.
The only negative was the size of the shower cubicle, but this didn't detract from our experience of the hotel. Overall I can highly recommend this place for a great Lake Garda holiday.

This was our third stay. The food was excellent every time. The only downside we have to mention this time is that potatoes were served as a side dish with the main course every single day. But that's really nitpicking. What we were a bit disappointed about, however, was the service; we were used to a different experience on our previous two visits. Upon arrival at reception, I meant well and told the young lady that this was our third time staying there. I actually expected her to say something like, "We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and that you're back," but no, instead she just said, "Well, that's fine then," and slammed the room keys down on the reception desk. That was our check-in. Once in the room, we noticed a problem with the TV. It kept switching itself off and on again after 10 minutes. Changing channels or adjusting the volume was only possible after restarting the TV. I reported this to reception the next day, and they noted it, but nothing was done about it. We just accepted it. The last two times I stayed there, the atmosphere was warm and very friendly, but unfortunately not this time. While everyone was still friendly (except for the young lady at reception), you could tell the heart was missing. A real shame.

We spent two pleasant days in this well-equipped hotel. The positives are many, but they mask a few minor issues. I'll point out the minor ones right away so the reader can focus on the positives. Basically, the TV didn't work (it would constantly refresh and reset while watching). It's not easy to find the parking garage. We also had cleaning staff come to us twice while we were in the room. That said, all the other aspects are highly positive. We were given a room upgrade. The breakfast, snack, welcome drink, and kettle with herbal teas and coffee, all included in the room price, were truly appreciated. The indoor pool with whirlpool and the gym, also included in the price, allowed us to enjoy pleasant moments of relaxation at the hotel. The piano bar enlivened the free aperitif. We didn't take advantage of many other services due to lack of time. The breakfast and snacks were truly generous and delicious. A wide selection of sweet and savory options, not only from the buffet, but also with freshly prepared pancakes and crepes. A word of appreciation goes to the extremely kind and hospitable staff, both in the breakfast room (where they had no problem encouraging us to eat and try the many delicacies) and at reception. We'd like to thank the two young women who went out of their way to accommodate my wife's special needs. The location is beautiful, right at the foot of a mountain. The hotel is clean and functional. Many places are within easy reach. We'll be happy to return.

Water was already dripping from the ceiling in the entrance area on our arrival day, Saturday. After five days, we finally got a different room, but until then, we were just stuck. The receptionist politely reminded us to correct any forgotten face masks. On the other hand, three service employees didn't need to do this while serving; they simply covered their mouths. This situation didn't change when I complained.
I found the food to be good and plentiful. The salad buffet was always refilled, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The dining room was very noisy due to the large number of older guests. It was hectic; if a plate was empty, it was immediately removed from the table. Personally, I didn't like this at all. "Canteen atmosphere" - I would have preferred more peace and quiet and less hectic...
Nevertheless, I would visit this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Beautiful location in the small town of Nago. However, there's a fairly steep 1.5km climb from Riva or Torbole. A free shuttle bus runs down in the morning and up in the afternoon. Nice pool. At our time, two tour buses with (older) German guests were staying at the hotel. It was very noisy during dinner, so we had to cancel what was supposed to be a very good dinner twice. After they left, however, everything was very pleasant. Beautiful e-bike excursions into the Adige Valley toward Trento, Arco, or Avio are possible.

In my opinion, the hotel doesn't meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. The rooms are far too small and have almost no storage space. The bathroom is also far too small; bending and turning in the shower cubicle was almost impossible. The parking situation was terrible, as several trailers took up the space. The dinner was also nowhere near the standard of a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was okay.
However, there were also positive aspects; I must especially emphasize the friendliness and promptness of the staff. I also have no complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel. The drink prices are moderate, and the bartender knows his craft and conjures up delicious cocktails.

This hotel truly deserves 5 stars, but before our arrival, I was promised the possibility of charging our electric car directly at the hotel using a 400V connection. Unfortunately, the hotel has neither a wallbox nor a 400V connection with a CEE socket. Instead, we had to charge our Tesla using 230V, which, of course, took forever.
Otherwise, we can highly recommend the hotel. The food is delicious, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also clean and well-maintained.
Apparently, the wallbox is coming soon. Then it will be a 5-star hotel next time.

This is the second time I've booked. The hotel is very well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. The pool behind the hotel is an oasis of peace. Lake Garda is a 3-minute drive away. The food is truly excellent, and there's almost everything your heart desires. Breakfast is excellent, fresh, and plentiful. The rooms are very tidy. In the afternoon, there's also coffee and cake available when you return from the lake or your bike ride. It's ideal for tiding over until dinner. This was our second time here with our motorcycles, and the underground parking garage with dedicated motorcycle spaces is definitely a plus for motorcyclists. The hotel is very clean, with lovely rooms, a large dining room offering a generous breakfast and excellent three-course dinners. The two indoor and outdoor pools are also worth mentioning, although they aren't always clean and are showing their age. Unfortunately, the indoor whirlpool was out of order. The staff were always very helpful and friendly; there's nothing to complain about there. The bar with its beautiful terrace is still the best part, where you can relax and unwind after a long day. Overall, it's still a great hotel, somewhat secluded from the lake and therefore a bit quieter in the lovely town of Nago. However, it could use some modernization here and there.

The stay was pleasant. The hotel has an underground garage and a small parking lot where parking is free. The pool with its beautiful olive trees is very pleasant and invites you to sunbathe. Billiards, foosball, and table tennis can be used free of charge. Rooms have a nice little balcony and air conditioning. Unfortunately, the mattresses are a bit uncomfortable. The food is mixed; pasta dishes are very good, while other main courses are very wildly combined, using frozen vegetables.
Unfortunately, we discovered that the creamy tiramisu served absolutely did not live up to its name and was among the worst of its kind.
Aperitifs were very generous and reasonably priced. The cake buffet was excellent.
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating!

The staff was the best we've ever encountered. Friendly and incredibly helpful, even when ordering a spare part for our broken motorcycle! The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, the food (half-board) left nothing to be desired, and in the evenings, we enjoyed a delicious cocktail at Michelangelo and Mathia's bar.

The hotel was truly amazing!
At first, I was skeptical, as the hotel isn't directly on Lake Garda, but rather located about 2 km away on the mountain. But this turned out to be no problem at all, as a free shuttle runs three times a day from the hotel directly to Lake Garda. There are also free bicycles at the hotel and a good bus connection less than 200 meters from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, whether receptionist, waiter, bartender, or others, everyone was always very accommodating and fulfilled our every need. The food surprised me greatly. I'm usually very picky when it comes to food, but I always found something delicious, and it was always varied and beautifully presented. We were also very impressed by the pool and garden; you have peace and quiet here, and it's beautifully landscaped. The rooms are nicely furnished and perfectly adequate. I could go on forever, but that would take too long. Our conclusion: A beautiful, quietly located hotel with a fantastic restaurant, pool, and bar. We would gladly come back.

A very nice hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. The hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh juices could be squeezed for you in the morning.
We were also able to rent e-bikes from the hotel.
There was a happy hour at the bar every day. It was a very pleasant place to sit, and the cocktails were very good!
All in all, a great hotel!

A very nice, clean hotel with good service, friendly staff, and excellent food. Two stars deducted because the air conditioning in the room didn't work. The sun shone into the room (on the fourth floor) until sunset, so the temperature was always 26 degrees Celsius in the evenings, and even at night, despite the balcony door being open, there was little relief. I had to argue with reception for two days. They didn't believe me, but promised to help, and thanks to my persistence, I was given an alternative room on the third night. The air conditioning worked there, and it worked in my original room the following day, too. It shouldn't happen that guests aren't believed, and it wasn't until the second receptionist couldn't turn on the air conditioning that the problem was rectified.

A very clean and well-run hotel. The staff at reception and the bar were very friendly and helpful. The service left a lot to be desired. The food was served as a four-course menu, so I won't give it a rating. We didn't particularly enjoy it, but everyone has different tastes. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The hotel seems to be mostly frequented by tour groups. Therefore, the dining room is very noisy, and the buffet gets crowded. Overall, we would spend a short break at the hotel again.

I have to get in touch again...
In May 2018, I stayed at this wonderful hotel run by the Tonelli family. I was traveling alone as a woman in a group.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was accommodated in a very nice double room with a large bathroom...
From then on, I was able to fully enjoy the hospitality...a wonderful breakfast buffet with an excellent 4-course menu...
Consisting of starters that weren't the same every night...a delicious variety of pasta...
And then a very nice main course...plus a thoughtful wine recommendation every evening...
Not to forget the sweet finale...it was very busy every evening...but we are connoisseurs and have time for food...a generous selection of drinks at the bar...the bartender was great...whatever I wanted...was there. was fulfilled.
The service throughout the hotel was very friendly, and all wishes were fulfilled... that's not the case everywhere... the excursions in the hotel... something different... as usual... the Goethe House with Mr. Tonelli... very interesting... an all-around wonderful vacation...
After returning home, I booked a vacation in Riva with my husband and our little dog, Bella, for May 2019 at the Hotel Garda, a Tonelli Hotel, of course....
Unfortunately, my husband became very ill. And we had to cancel... our stay was canceled without any problems... which is also unusual....
We now hope, when my husband recovers, to spend another wonderful time at the hotel in Riva with the Tonelli family.... I had to get in touch again because I simply cannot explain the very poor review from a guest...

Undoubtedly a very good hotel! The only drawback for independent travelers is the large number of tour groups that flood the hotel, especially at mealtimes. The specially organized entertainment, such as dance evenings with a solo entertainer, is rather annoying. The bathrooms are small and dated.

Minimalist, clean, and welcoming room with a private terrace. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. I stayed with my partner and my medium-large dog, who was welcome in virtually every area of the hotel except the restaurant. The pool area is well-maintained, and the surrounding area is very pretty, with lots of greenery, which unfortunately attracts a lot of mosquitoes. Overall, we were very satisfied, despite the high price.

We visited for seven nights mid August 2018. The first night wasn’t great. The hotel was full, and Tui didn’t notify the hotel that there were three of us. So we ended up with a hastily prepared room for three. Sunday morning we were moved to a room for three. Some of the rooms are likely a bit tired. Some are on the small side also. However, they are spotless. This is likely why the hotel isn’t 5 star rated, the size of the rooms and some of the bathrooms. However, our second room was great (room 101...). Everything else at the hotel is first class. The hotel is in idilic surroundings. The swimming pools, indoor and out, were clean. The outdoor swimming pool has a bunch of free food and a great vista. The food is too much, even by American standards, the food is ample and delicious. There is coffee and cakes seemingly on tap. The fitness room was sufficient for runners, with solid treadmills. The hotel is in a beautiful village of welcoming people. It is a sweeping generalisation, but we have always found the Italian people to be great hosts and friends. We brought a three year old and the hotel and local people were especially accommodating. The hotel owners try especially hard to accommodate guests and the staff are polite and attentive. The hotel is at the top of a steep bank. Even by Yorkshire trail running standards - it is a big hill. There is a shuttle service from the hotel three times a day. I have stayed at some great hotels through sheer fortune of my line of work. I came of the back of corporate treatment at a top Chicago hotel. This hotel was better and is up there with the very best.

Location:
Nago - to reach the lake, you have to walk quite a distance to Torbole (approx. 2 km). Alternatively, you can wait for the hotel shuttle, which usually runs three times a day and is very busy. Nago itself is a pretty little town and well located for hiking.
Hotel:
Room: Small, clean, okay.
Outdoor pool: Located in a large garden, very nice; no problem finding loungers even in summer.
Indoor pool: Visually beautiful, but probably not enough loungers in the rain.
Food and service: Unfortunately, both fell short of expectations for a 4-star hotel. Our food was forgotten twice, and often it simply took too long (on average 1.5 hours). The taste was okay but not great, more like a grade of 3.
Gym: One multifunctional machine available, unfortunately broken, and wasn't repaired even after 5 days.

A very cozy hotel, somewhat removed from the crowds and hustle and bustle. A starting point for many nearby excursions. The weather here is somewhat more moderate than in the south of Lake Garda.

We were given a beautiful room on the 4th floor for two nights without a reservation. We were pleasantly surprised. Comfortable beds, a spacious room, a lovely bathroom, and a covered balcony with a view of Nago, where we first stayed in 1970 and return time and again.
We took half board, and the food was excellent—but it's easy to overindulge...
Wonderful live music in the evening.
Unfortunately, we had to move down one floor on our last night to a significantly smaller room.
It was fine, with the same view and an (open) balcony, but the toilet and shower area were a bit too small for us (we have difficulty walking and use canes).
Otherwise, the service and food were consistently excellent! We hope to do this again and will definitely book in advance for the 4th floor!

Its a nice enough hotel but the rooms are quite small. In the advertisement they show a view of Lake Garda from up on the hill. You CANNOT see the lake from anywhere on this property! The consolation for this is a very nice pool nestled under the cliffs of the mountains. Do not waste money on the half board- unless you hate Italian food because they rarely serve it. Lots of German and British foods for breakfast and dinner. Use your money going out to explore and eat at local restaurants! Location is pretty good for reaching most interesting points on and around lake without having to take the 2 lane road all the way around.

I'm more than satisfied with my current stay – although it's not quite perfect. Negatives: some mold in the shower, you always have to take the stroller through the underground parking garage to get into the building, as there are only stairs otherwise, the bed is a bit short (I'm 1.84m tall) and my legs dangle out a bit, and the underground parking garage fills up quickly. Positives: very friendly staff, child-friendly (extra bed, high chair, etc., no problem at all), the food is excellent!! The pool is clean. Conclusion: I would gladly return to this hotel! (When my little one is a bit older). The surrounding area is truly stunning, but more suitable for active (sports) holidays.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Continental from July 6th to July 11th, 2017. We arrived by car at 11:30 am and, of course, hadn't expected our room to be ready. Luckily, it was already cleaned, which we were very pleased about. We also received a super friendly welcome, and this friendliness continued at all times of day and night when we needed anything at reception. :-) There were almost always only two gentlemen at reception, and they were incredibly friendly, but it definitely wasn't forced; it was genuinely human.
Then we had another stroke of luck: we had only booked an Attico room, but we received an upgrade to an Attico Panorama room (at no extra charge), which also included a permanently reserved parking space in the underground garage. A German daily newspaper was also delivered to our room every day.
... The entire hotel was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The outdoor pool is located a little behind the hotel and includes a pool bar where the cocktails are delicious. The pool, sun loungers, and lawn were all impeccably cared for.
We also rented Focus e-bikes for a day (€30), which were a lot of fun, and the price-performance ratio was excellent because they aren't cheap bikes.
The food, which is a big factor for many vacationers, was fantastic. Breakfast offered everything from cakes and muesli to fresh fried eggs, crepes, and more – everything you could want in the morning :-)
With half-board, you can choose from a few different dishes each evening for a four-course meal, and this food was also delicious every single day. There's no stress about having to eat out. Drink prices are also reasonable ;-)
The hotel is located 2 km above Lake Garda, so there's no direct view of the lake, but you can walk to a spot with a beautiful view. You can reach Torbole in 5 days by car and escape the hustle and bustle of Torbole and Riva.
There's so much more I could say about the hotel, which was fantastic.
But basically, we felt incredibly comfortable every single one of those 5 days and drove back to Nuremberg yesterday, July 11, 2017, with a fantastic holiday feeling.
I can highly recommend this hotel; I also received a recommendation from friends.

The hotel is in a quiet location, away from traffic noise, and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
The hotel staff is very friendly and speaks several languages (German, English, etc.). All requests and problems are noted and dealt with promptly.
The rooms are clean, all have balconies or terraces, and offer the usual amenities.
The cuisine is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, and the four-course dinner is varied and delicious, served by the motivated staff. I have been a guest almost every year for about 20 years and have always been warmly welcomed. Highly recommended!

Although the hotel has seen better days and the 4-star rating is a gross exaggeration, we felt comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooms are very small and extremely noisy.
Repairs such as cracked tiles and sinks are also needed.

The superior rooms are very, very small for what they promise. Luckily, we were able to upgrade to an attic, which was excellent. The hotel is actually very good, but it has defects that would be cheaper to fix now. It's a shame they're cutting corners here. Behind the scenes, the structure is crumbling.
