Rock Master in Arco
Arco is undoubtedly the Mecca of climbing in Italy, and even more so known for its ideal climbing terrain. Whether bouldering, sports or alpine climbing, the conditions for this athletic sport are ideal at Lake Garda. The legendary Rock Master Festival takes place on 1st September 2023 as a special edition.
For more than 20 years, the international rock-climbing competition Rock Master has been in Arco. Every year in Summer, the best climbers in the world come together to compete in the disciplines of bouldering and speed. Climbing fans also travel from everywhere to admire their bouldering heroes in the fight against gravity. The surrounding area is of immense importance and it’s obvious: Arco and the neighbouring community Torbole offer varied programmes for many visitors.
In 2011, Arco had secured the IFSC World Climbing Championships which made local climbing history. The experience in organising large climbing events and the planned modernisation of the climbing stadium was reason enough that Arco was able to prevail against Moscow and thus host the climbing World Cup.
