Hike at Torri del Benaco
One of Lake Garda's most popular walks leads from Albisano to Torri del Benaco. The name Torri del Benaco not only stands for lakeside and sparkling blue waters. A unique environment characterises the town, considered by many to be the most beautiful and exciting of the entire Garda coast. No wonder, as it harmoniously combines nature, landscape and folk art.
Between Castelletto, Garda and San Zeno di Montagna there are a variety of trails. The following tour starts in the village of Santa Croce in Via Bellini, which begins at the first bend on the road to Albisano and crosses the ancient Strada Gardesana. Strada Gardesana is sometimes called "Strada dei cavalli" (Road of the Horses) and turns off after about 3 km in the direction of Albisano.
On the right side of the village, you'll see the first engraved rock called "Roccia delle Griselle" which shows, among other things, ancient weapons. If you continue, you'll first arrive at Ca` Bianca, then at Contrada delle Sorti, passing Albisano and Capitello del Crocefisso.
From Torri-Albisano take the narrow path on the left, cross the main road, and you'll reach the town of Valmagra. Descending, you come back to Torri del Benaco.
