The Eco Hotel Ariston was just as the majority of the previous ratings described it. It was in a perfect location (near the Monte Baldo cable car & a short walk to town). It has clean & modern rooms (we had a lake & castle view for our 5 night stay in late August) and a really wonderful staff.
The front desk team was great as were the kitchen staff that served amazing breakfasts each day. The outdoor covered patio was great for breakfast. All staff were super friendly and super helpful.

The stay was perfect all around! The location is excellent, everything is within easy walking distance. The hotel's private parking is especially convenient. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and immediately felt at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide selection. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back!

This hotel is ideally located in Malcesine, offering secure parking (€15 per day) and open parking (€9 per day). The hotel is close to all amenities, including supermarkets and the beach.
Bicycles are available for exploring. The breakfast is absolutely excellent and very comprehensive, and the welcome is very warm. Thank you very much!

This was our first time at this hotel and we were absolutely thrilled!
The hotel is pleasantly small and exudes a homely, very relaxed atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired – it's varied and offers everything your heart desires.
The central location is particularly noteworthy: ideal for easily exploring the surrounding area.
The entire hotel is very well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful.
We felt completely at home and would gladly return!

The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not right. The hotel itself is okay, but overall it's quite noisy and showing its age (especially the bathrooms). Breakfast could be fresher. Too expensive for what it is.

Perfect location for exploring Malcesine.
The view from the room was unbeatable, overlooking the castle.
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast left nothing to be desired.
The evening aperitif could be enjoyed in the garden, on the terrace, or on the balcony.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of the city. Despite being centrally located, it is quiet. We got room 26, it was on the top floor, on the side. With a view of the mountain and the castle. It was beautiful. Small room, but perfectly adequate. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was spacious. Large wardrobe with clothes hangers. They cleaned every day, everything was clean.
The breakfast was also very delicious. Delicious cookies, fruits, cheese, ham. Delicious coffee, fresh orange juice. Very kind staff.
The hotel courtyard is an oasis. Beautiful trees, flowers, bushes. Lots of loungers, chairs, tables. Ping pong table, jacuzzi. You can also have breakfast here.
They were also very kind at the reception. Absolutely helpful, smiling. We even received a gift when we left, a picture calendar for next year.
The hotel's outdoor paid parking lot was closed with a barrier. It was perfectly adequate.
The old town and the lakeside are a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
The city is a jewel box. Clean, beautiful, safe.

A very well-maintained hotel with lovely and very friendly staff and owners! Delicious breakfast – we enjoyed it every day! Just a short walk to the center of Malcesine. Magnificent views of the Scaliger Castle and Lake Garda. The rooms are a good size, the amenities were perfect for us, and above all, they were very clean! Truely one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in. It is immaculately kept with unbeatable views of lake Garda, the castle and the beautiful town below.
It's central to everything in Melcesine and the staff are amazing.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for two nights. Conveniently located, it's very close to the vibrant area of Malcesine, less than a 5-minute walk away. The same goes for the cable car to Mount Baldo. An excellent hotel with extremely kind, helpful, and polite staff, especially Giulia, the receptionist. Comfortable, always spotless rooms, a relaxing garden, and last but not least, a breakfast room with a superb buffet are the features that set this hotel apart. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and available in every respect. The hotel is beautifully situated; you can choose a spot with a balcony overlooking Lake Garda and the magnificent mountains, or just the mountains. Everyone is sure to find a unique spot. The hotel boasts a high standard, with a swimming pool and outdoor jazz music. The food is delicious, both for Europeans and local delicacies. I highly recommend it

Good morning, Hello, Lake Garda, Malcesine, Via Navenne Vecchia 4, View of the castle, Fantastic panorama, Monte Baldo cable car, paragliding, Azzurro ice cream, dessert, pizza, sausage, Piazza Cavour, Vagabondo Bar, small draft beer, please, Malcesine wine bar, 1978 bottle of white wine, many thanks, Limone boat, sparkling water, La Bottega del Vino, veal with tuna sauce, octopus and potatoes, pedal boat, carbonara, and a Coke, please, let us feel it, Spaghetti + al dente, great feeling, all good, goodbye.

This was our second stay at this charming hotel, and we felt very comfortable. We were especially delighted by the warm welcome; it was like seeing family again, like coming home. The staff is always very friendly and happy to accommodate special requests. The breakfast is fresh and extensive, with many organic products. The coffee is excellent. The garden is beautiful, with many thoughtful details and a drinks service, which we particularly enjoyed after our massages. The massages themselves are wonderful and highly recommended, as is the sauna. The hotel's exceptional cleanliness is also remarkable. The parking lot with its spacious spaces is directly opposite the hotel. The hotel's location is perfect; everything is within easy walking distance (supermarket, restaurants, swimming spots, etc.). All this at a fair price. We love it and will definitely be back.

A wonderful, family-run hotel with a gorgeous garden offering plenty of shade and even a whirlpool. Excellent, friendly service (you can also order drinks for the garden at the bar), a sumptuous breakfast with fresh ingredients, and our room even had a balcony with a lake view. There's nothing negative to say – we would go back anytime!

Great location close to Malcesine center, spacious room with balcony and small fridge. Unfortunately only looking out on the roof below and tree in front and it was very noisy at evenings and early mornings (from room 8, close to family rooms).
Bikes and bike park are available for free.
Very extensive and delicious breakfast options. The instant bitter machine coffee was a very un-Italian coffee to us.
They serve just breakfast but drinks can be ordered any time of the day as well. A lot more money can be earned if that’s offered actively at the terrace/sunbathing area.
Massages are possible for €75 and sauna is available as well (paid).

Every day towels were replaced without being on the floor.
A plastic bottle we reuse has been thrown away.
No coffee/tea possibility in the room so we brought our own.
Charging your car is possible but just at night and for €30. Also for plugin hybrids.
This really made us very unhappy.

A very nice hotel with a lovely garden where you can have breakfast and spend a pleasant time. The hotel is superbly located, quiet yet centrally located and close to the lake, where you can walk or cycle. Bikes can be rented at the hotel, although we had our own. The beautiful view of the lake and castle is unforgettable – simply wonderful. Breakfast was very good, and the owner and staff were very friendly. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and bright. A very enjoyable stay.

This beautiful hotel, with its excellent lakeside location, boasts a lovely, large garden where you can also enjoy breakfast. The entire complex is extremely well-maintained and inviting. Our quadruple room had two bedrooms; it was very clean and nicely furnished. The unobstructed view of the lake from the balcony is beautiful, and the direct proximity to the city center is convenient. Parking is available a minute away, and the cable car is just a few meters up the hill. The lady at the reception was very friendly. We felt extremely comfortable here and would love to come back. The breakfast was wonderful; nothing was lacking. Everything was of very good quality, and there was a large selection.

We stayed at Eco Hotel Ariston mid September 2023, and was very pleased with our experience. Top floor rooms give the best view of the Lake & Castle. We had the top floor Superior room not Lake facing but with a side balcony, so it gives you the best of both, Castle to the front an Mount Baldo to the rear.
The rooms are clean and functional with all amenities required. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is European with excellent healthy choices, with way too many to list here, you can eat on the terrace overlooking a lovely garden. If you have any food allergies they will cater for you, I'm Celiac so was given a selection of bread & cereals.
The Hotel location is perfect just off the main Lake road, a 5 min walk from the Bus Station terminal. The Mount Baldo cable car station is literally next door (no noise) a Spar mini market & pharmacy is also 2 mins walk away for any bits an bobs, the Castle is also 5 mins walk. With being that central you may think it's noisy but far from it, the traffic is light and never disturbed our sleep with the even windows open.
I just can't find any glaring faults here, so it was perfect fit for a stunning location. We'll be back for sure ! More

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir sind mit Hund angereist und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Zudem wurden uns jede Menge Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben.
Die Einrichtung des Zimmers ist modern.
Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Ein Parkplatz befindet sich auf der anderen Straßenseite und ist gut zu erreichen.
Von unserem Zimmer hatten wir einen traumhaften Ausblick auf die Burg und den See.

The reception staff is incredibly friendly...from the initial email contact to the on-site interactions.
The breakfast staff is also very friendly...the ladies are incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating!

The room is spotless, and when you arrive in the evening, it's impeccably tidy!
The hotel itself is very close to the old town...but without any noise disturbance.
The outdoor area is beautifully maintained and a true oasis of relaxation!
There is ample parking available.
If your car is too large for the underground garage, there are generously sized parking spaces assigned to your room!

SUPER location! SUPER delicious breakfast. We had the budget room, which was really basic and a bit dated. Since we were only there for one night, it was perfectly adequate. For a longer stay, I would recommend a more expensive room with a lake view. Parking is available outside for €9 or in the small underground garage for €15. Great!

The garden is beautifully maintained, and you can enjoy breakfast surrounded by greenery.
The old town is just a few minutes away. The cable car to Monte Baldo is a minute away. A parking lot and an underground garage are available. Bicycles can be rented on the main street, about a 5-minute walk away. It's worth asking for rooms on higher floors, as the view of the city and the lake is better.
The only drawback is the Wi-Fi range :)

TOP location.
A stone's throw from the cable car and just a few meters from the center of Malcesine.
Extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous staff, who were happy to offer tips for things to do.
Our room was a good size with a balcony facing the mountain.
The breakfast was plentiful; everyone is sure to find something they like.
It's also nice that you can have breakfast in the beautiful, well-kept garden.

The hotel's location is simply perfect. It's less than a 5-minute walk to the winding streets of the old town. There's a hotel parking lot across the street, which can be booked for an additional €9 per day.

Amazing hotel! Let me say, the location is ideal if you are staying in Malcesine, Italy. You can walk down the hill less than a football field and be in the town square. If you pay a few bucks more for the room, you will look out at the castle and the lake. The breakfast is amazing, with fresh pastries, eggs, fruit, yogurt, assorted meats and a great coffee experience. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was in working order, was clean and was to a high standard. I will book again for sure. My photos are of the view from the room. There is a nice courtyard with hammocks, lounges and peace. Max was super helpful getting us a cab to get to the train station for our day trip to Venice. Thank's to Max and the breakfast ladies! Everyone made our trip to Italy special.

The hotel's location is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. The garden is inviting and a great place to relax.
What we didn't like was how extremely noisy the hotel was. You could hear everything. If that doesn't bother you, then this hotel is recommended. Hence the deduction of stars.

A very pleasant stay! We received a warm welcome and felt very comfortable. The lounge is open until 11 p.m. There's a whirlpool, which is pleasantly open until 9 p.m. even in warm weather. On one side of the hotel, you can see Monte Baldo, and on the other, Lake Garda. You can also book a massage with the hotel staff with some advance notice, which we took advantage of. You can also enjoy the perfectly organized breakfast buffet. There was not too much, not too little, with a balanced variety. We particularly liked the fact that you could easily and free of charge borrow bicycles from the hotel to explore the surrounding area. There's also a sauna, but we didn't use it. The city center is just a few minutes' walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to thank the entire hotel team for the wonderful time. Best regards.

Came to this hotel to attend my sisters wedding, & stayed for 5 nights.
The rooms are small, scrupulously clean & very comfortable. We also enjoyed a superb balcony view across the beautiful town of Malcesine & the magnificent castle where my sister was married.
My wife & I can’t recommend this hotel enough, Max & ALL the staff are welcoming & friendly & the selection of lovely food available for breakfast was fantastic.
All in all, an ideal base from which to spend time enjoying the beautiful town of Malcesine.

We stayed four nights in the only ground-floor room (with a private balcony, as there's a basement entrance underneath). The air conditioning and shower are good. The hotel is small and well located for easy access to the centre. The room was very clean and modern though would benefit guests with more plugs. Nice big shower too and good bathroom. Staff were extremely pleasant, professional and helpful at any time we needed them. Penny, Max and Stefania were the staff we mainly spoke with and we’re great. Breakfast was good though a smaller choice than we had in a larger hotel in Riva. Layout caused some queuing waiting for milk or juice whilst elaborate coffees were made. The gardens were good and well maintained. Our only gripe was noise from rooms next to or above us. On our first evening some clown was doing scale practice on some sort of musical device that went on for over half an hour. Above we had people stamping their feet and we could hear people in rooms next to us talking, putting plugs in walls plus anything else they seemed to do. We appeared to be by a soil pipe as we heard most toilets flushing and noise from the corridor outside the room also resounded as people ignored the keep quiet signs. I think the noise was from structural issues and there wasn’t much staff could have done to solve this though we did mention it when we paid. Noise in the gardens that other reviewers have mentioned, wasn’t a problem. If we were guaranteed a less noisy room in the future I would have no question of staying at this hotel again. Rental bikes could do with some maintenance. One eco issue, maybe the hotel could do with a card entry system that stops air con being left on when guests are out.

The view over the castle to Lake Garda is sensational.
Unfortunately, the breakfast is very meager; I had a dark hair in my scrambled eggs, and the egg dishes were only lukewarm every day.
One evening and the following morning, there was no hot water. There was no explanation without asking. Even a concession in the form of a discount or, for example, a bottle of wine was not forthcoming. For a room rate of €169, I expect hot water consistently.
Upon checkout, I was simply told that they would understand if I didn't want to come back.
That was my second and last visit. A real shame.

The hotel's location is very central and a good starting point. However, there is some traffic noise from the Gardesana. The staff and service were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, but it was delicious. Our balcony was conveniently located away from the street.
There were also some less positive aspects: The advertised coffee machine was missing from the room. Furthermore, it was a small room with limited space and only one electrical outlet. The bathroom was very small and not modernized. There were no shelves for toiletries. The semicircular shower was even smaller and uncomfortable. Overall, the room didn't meet the standards of a superior room, and accordingly, I found the price too high.
The hotel has parking spaces (including an underground garage), but there's limited space for maneuvering.

We're still here...and incredibly satisfied. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and sweet. The rooms have everything you need and are spotlessly clean. Kudos to the cleaning team. The breakfast is plentiful and fresh! It's a small hotel with a cute garden! The location is perfect with a view of the lake and the beautiful castle. It couldn't be more central; from here you can do any activity your heart desires! The staff are always on hand to give tips and are always up for a chat! We feel incredibly comfortable and will definitely be back! The beautiful town center is a 2-minute walk away, and to get to Baldolino you just need to step out the door! All in all, top-notch, full marks!

We had a nice and comfortable stay 2 weeks ago. We loved the garden where you can have a nice and relaxed breakfast and it has also a jacuzzi pool. Our room had a perfect and awesome view towards the Garda Lake and Castello ;-)....we also had a good posibility to store our Bikes in the garage. We can definetely recommend this Hotel. A fantastic hotel that, in our opinion, deserves a fourth star . We experienced a lot of kindness and sympathy from the hotel staff – a very kind gesture was the offer of a cup of hot coffee in the morning, even though we weren't formally hotel guests yet – they noticed our tiredness from the journey, for which we were extremely grateful. The room was exactly as described. The view of the castle and lake was breathtaking, and the beautifully maintained garden was a lovely place to relax in the afternoon. On our wedding day ️️, they allowed us a photoshoot in the garden, welcomed us with a glass of champagne, and prepared a very pleasant surprise. We felt more at home here ;) We will happily return to this place again.

A small, very pleasant hotel with a family atmosphere in the beautiful town of Malcesine. The location and the view are fantastic. The staff are very friendly and attentive; you can tell everyone feels at home. The rooms on the top floor with their large windows are particularly fantastic. We also really enjoyed the lovingly landscaped garden, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back.

A family-run hotel. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is small but excellent. Everything is delicious. A beautiful, well-kept garden and a terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or simply sit and enjoy a drink.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the center, the beach, and the cable car. The top-floor rooms have a glass wall and a furnished balcony with a breathtaking view of the castle and
the lake. The eco-exclusive rooms are beautifully decorated with light wood floors and eco-friendly furniture. The rooms include a refrigerator and kettle with organic herbal teas. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful, with many organic products, a variety of fruit, cured meats, cheeses, and homemade desserts. There's a well-kept garden with a delightful hot tub. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, making you feel at home. The ideal place for an unforgettable vacation!

Locaton is perfect for the old town - 2 min walk and the same in the other direction to the cable car base station wich goes to the top of Monte Baldo. From there, incredible views of the lake, small alpaca herd and nice restaurant (even if the service was not very friendly).

We had an amzing and a fantastic week with our family at Eco Hotel Ariston. We were so amased by the hotel staff and the hotel too. They were outstanding with their overwhelming attention, their perfect service and last but not least their kindness. The rooms were clean and we had everything what we need. The view from the rooms is something wonderful. Their breakfast is unforgetable too. I definetely would go back to this place if I visit Malcesine... moreover... I wouldn't go anywhere else. :)

We spent five wonderful days here. We really liked the hotel's location. It's just a few meters from the road, but everything is within easy walking distance. The hotel was very warm and lovingly run. On one side, there's a view of the mountain. On the other, there's a beautifully landscaped garden. OVERALL, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The mountain-facing rooms are probably quieter.

Schon der Kontakt bei Reservierung und Buchung war sehr gut, individuelle Fragen (bezüglich Anreisezeitpunkt) wurden freundlich und sehr schnell beantwortet. Wir waren eine der ersten Gäste der Saison und der Betrieb lief gerade erst an, aber wir wurden toll umsorgt. Das Zimmer war großartig! Frühstück ist reichhaltig. Alle Mitarbeiter sind außerordentlich freundlich, es wird eine familiäre Atmosphäre geschaffen. Sauna haben wir nicht genutzt, geführte Wanderung und Gartennutzung sind regenbedingt ausgefallen, deshalb können wir das nicht beurteilen.

After 24 hours, I'm reassessing the hotel. There was indeed a mistake in the reservation. I understood I had reserved rooms in the highest category, and upon arrival, to my disappointment, they were all occupied. But the owner was extremely kind, and unable to offer what my family was looking for, she let us go. Inexplicably, we stayed because, despite the rooms not meeting our expectations, the family atmosphere, the delicious breakfast, the kindness of the staff—from the attendant Giulia, who served breakfast and also worked at reception at certain times, to the owner's son who greeted us on the first day—made all the difference. As a family friend used to say, people are what truly matter. The hotel service is really very good! And it's very well located.

The exterior is attractive and well-maintained, with a lovely garden and terrace area. The reception and common areas are cozy and chic. The garage is not for the faint of heart as it's very narrow and difficult to navigate, making it impossible for large SUVs. Breakfast is varied and includes homemade cakes. The room is bright, spacious, and clean. Big enough for three. The view is amazing! The hotel's bikes are quite good for short trips. Despite the central location, it's quiet in the evenings and we can sleep well. The beach is a 5-minute walk, the city center is 3 minutes, a good bike rental is 1 minute, and the cable car is 2 minutes... perfect.
Overall, small but nice, and we'd gladly return.

A very nice hotel in a quiet location in the heart of Malcesine. A pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere. The front rooms have a beautiful view of Lake Garda.
